About Asif

Asif Malik is a reportage photographer from Vancouver, BC.  He studied a Master's of Photography for Communications in Italy at IAAD Torino and explored unique perspectives in reportage photography in contemporary dance and village-small town life.

Stylistically, he searches for moments of aesthetic vulnerability behind his subjects to transform into visual stories - often employing techniques of minimalism and perspective scaling.  Asif searches for natural moments of tension in his visual stories to create more compelling questions for the viewer.
